While Dems Babbled About Russia, GOP Passed Trickle-Up Economics Tax Bill
Caitlin Johnstone

A nice story of how both Democrats and Republicans serve the same masters — the uber wealthy. Thank you. Now the question is, What can we do about it? My suggestion is that we have to improve the electorate. That’s right, We The People need to stop being so willing to accept poor results. We need to raise our standards. We need to start demanding integrity — not just from the people in the opposition, but from the people on our side — and realize that it isn’t just everybody else’s Representatives and Senators that are the problem, it’s our Representatives and Senators.

How do we do that? Develop forums and sources for fact-based reportage and discussion on important issues like economic opportunity, threats from abroad and whose money is influencing which elected officials. Eventually, thinking, proactive people will catch on, word will spread, and the political theater crowd will remain limited to the 25% or so of the population that can’t think of anything better. It’s kind of like our policy for communism back in the 1950s: Contain their influence while we spread ours.

Maybe such things are out there now and I just don’t know about them. If so, I’d love your suggestions. Otherwise, that is the path.
