5 Reasons Rand Paul will be the Next President

The media has made their decision on who should be matched up against each other in 2016 for President. The left wing media is absolutely settled on Hillary Clinton being the democratic nominee. While at Fox they have either settled with Jeb Bush or Scott Walker. Some have left room for Marco Rubio to be considered… but not much room. Regardless, all spectrums in the media have done all but shut down the idea of the only candidate that has the best shot at the White House. So since the media refuses to cover him, allow me to make the case as to why Rand Paul is going to be the next President of the United States of America.
5.) Silicon Valley: Because of Rand’s libertarian leanings, as well as his appeal to youth, the techies at Silicon Valley are certainly no foe to Paul. Even if many disagree with some of his policies, they are willing to listen to him more than any other GOP candidate and will likely want him to win the White House. Why might this be important? Because as Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton are gaining big time donations from Cronies on Wall Street, Rand will gain the support of the entrepreneurs from California who wants to thrive without government, and in doing so earn all the donations that come with them. Silicon Valley will be Paul’s secret weapon when it comes to big donors.
4.) Rand is not his father: Many assume that because he is his father’s son, that he holds exactly the same views as his father on every issue. While some perceive Ron Paul as having very radical views, Rand is slightly less extreme in his views and presents them in such a way that many people can agree with; more than just your average Ron Paul supporters anyway. Rand’s messaging is articulated to where he can take many of his father’s ideas and spread them to people who would otherwise never consider supporting them.
3.) Rand is his father: Though Rand does reach outside of your average libertarian crowd to appeal to more voters, he certainly has not forgotten his roots. Both Rand and Ron are very strong constitutionalists who advocate for the rights of the individual. Both strongly support an audit of the Federal Reserve and an end to the Drug War. In some ways, Rand has even outshined his father in certain pro-liberty issues. Not a time before has the Fed pushed back against an audit as when Rand recently pushed for an audit bill this past January. With the war on drugs, Rand has made incredible bipartisan support to make steps to end the war on drugs and focus on criminal justice reform. It is because he has taken his father’s message of personal liberty and reached out using a more uniting method that Rand has successfully brought people together across party lines and forced them to look at him as a serious contender for 2016.
2.) Wide Appeal: Among the most important trait that separates Rand from the rest of the field is his wide appeal to a diverse crowd. Ron Paul spoke to a very narrow brand of libertarians when he ran. Rand speaks too many of the same libertarians and a strong conservative following as well. Rand can also gain many independents and even draw away from the democratic base because of his stances on surveillance, war, and criminal justice reform. Even the likes of Bill Maher have stated that he and people like him are willing to pull the lever for Rand. Appealing to leftists like Maher doesn’t take away from his conservative base because his message is not about party politics, it is about something that any intellectually honest American can support and rally behind: liberty. This, along with his outreach to minority communities talking about free market principles, sets Rand apart from the rest of the 2016 field. He is currently the only republican contender that actually is attempting to expand his base. The rest of the field is fighting for their own narrow brand of conservatism while Rand is fighting for America’s entire vote, not just republicans. And it is working.
1.) Grassroots: This is single handedly the most important factor that puts Rand Paul above the rest of his competitors. The grassroots army a candidate may or may not have is what can make or break an election. Rand Paul has the energetic youth vote as his grassroots support, the most important base one can have. The youth that is energized about a candidate so much that they will campaign day after day until after the poll results is the support base that will get the vote out and cause others to join the bandwagon (or “Randwagon” if you will”). This is the base that propelled Barack Obama from the first term senator out of Illinois to winning the presidential election in 2008 and again in 2012. Rand has the same type community organizers to campaign for him the way they did for Obama, only on the right! The grassroots support in vital, and especially if it is the energetic youth getting out the vote. All the big donors in the world will not mean anything unless one has the support base to push said candidate forward.
