CAMPAIGN THEME SONGS?!?

Published on June 2nd, 2015 | by Caitlin Butler
On Wednesday May 27th, former Senator Rick Santorum announced his candidacy for presidency on the Republican Party ticket. However, what most people took away from his announcement was his campaign theme song, “Take Back America.”
Thus, this got me thinking…. every candidate* should have a Campaign Theme Song!!!
FOR THE DEMOCRATS!!!

Hilary Clinton -“Oops I did Again;” Britney Spears
With all the scandals constantly plaguing Clinton’s political career and following into her campaign all one can say is “Oops, I did it Again.”

Bernie Sanders –”Paper Planes;” MIA
With Sanders’ unwavering stance against capitalism, while also proposing a income tax rate of 90% against the “wealthiest” of our country we could say all he wants to do is “…take your money…”

Martin O’Malley– “Rich Girl;” Hall and Oates
O’Malley has a strong stance on generating social programs for a betterment of America. Thus, Rich Girl tells what happens when you rely on someone for too long; you do not get too far….
FOR THE REPUBLICANS!!!

Marco Rubio — “Its Gonna Be Me;” NSync
Gaining traction through polling recently, Rubio may be able to win over all generations of Republicans through his charisma, poise and looks 😉 . (Nice hair flip Rubio!)

Ted Cruz– “Online;” Brad Paisely
Cruz jolted into the lime-light when a poster of him tattooed and hard knocked started to circulate the Twitter-sphere. However, instead of becoming defensive, Cruz has learned to take “political blows” and make them into jokes….thus he is known to look pretty dang cool Online.

Rand Paul– “Sons of Liberty;” Frank Turner
Rand has become known, especially throughout the past couple months, to be a patriot for constitutional freedoms and liberty… a modern day Son of Liberty if you will.

Ben Carson — “Started From the Bottom;” Drake
Growing up in Detroit, Carson was known for being an ill tempered child and an unfocused student. However, Carson went on to graduate from Yale University, completing a residency at John-Hopkins, becoming a world-wide accredited neurosurgeon and is now a nominee for President!

Carly Fiorina– “Who Run the World (Girls);” Beyonce
GIRL POWER all around when it comes to Fiorina; former HP CEO and now know for trolling a late night talk show host….who better fits a song about women in power.

Mike Huckabee — As Good As I Once Was; Toby Keith
While Governor of Arkansas, Huckabee was always able to win the majority of votes from all persons no matter their background. So he may not be as good as he once was, but he was good once…could it happen again?!

George Patiki– “Don’t You Forget About Me;” Simple Minds
Former Governor of New York, George Patiki came out of left field to announce his canidiancy…so with that lets all not FORGET about Patiki!

Lindsey Graham — “How Bizarre;” OMC
After Senator Graham announced just yesterday (June 1, 2015) that he would be running, you could see the overwhelming excitement from the crowd (insert sarcastic tone). Because of that all I, and everyone else whom watched, could think is How Bizarre…
*Note: only candidates that have been incorporated in several mainstream polls were included as well as those that have officially declared for that of sanity of EVERYONE! Why talk about people who have yet to say they are ACTUALLY running?! Can I get an AMEN??? Also, since Sen. Santorum has one I didn’t feel it was right to “re-brand” his image.*
