How to survive college without becoming a liberal

Published on June 3rd, 2015 | by Heather Mende
College is intimidating to begin with, and now we’re in a world where the latest trends include Bruce Caitlyn Jenner and liberal view points. Most of your professors, if not all, will be liberal; making it their personal goal to convert you. Your friends will look at you like you’re foreign. And the boy that sits next to you in English already hates you for just looking like a conservative. But fear not, we’ve provided you with a survival guide…
Don’t read (or even buy) the textbook…it’s probably bias.

Get an on-campus job. It teaches you the power of your own money, not other people’s

Be fact based, research inclined, and willing to share. It shuts people up faster than your school’s WiFi.

Don’t spend spring break at PCB. Go to Washington D.C where you’ll be fully clothed and learning something more worldly than how to bong a beer.

Although it seems like it, know you are not alone in your conservative views. Join your school’s Turning Point USA Chapter or other organization.

Be thick skinned. People will dislike you and you may or may not hear whispers when you walk by, “That’s the girl that buttons up her cleavage.”

“The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.” Ronald Reagan
(enough said.)

Be prepared for when your friend tweets #Hillary2016

Lastly, hold your values. Liberals are everywhere…
