Powerful Sermon After Oregon Shooting

In a powerful Sermon, a Chicago pastor spoke about the Oregon shooting defending the Christians who lost their lives.

The pastor criticized the gun control argument by saying, “Are we stupid that we let people tell us that more laws are going to somehow solve a problem?”

“I’m not going to be silent about this!” He exclaimed, “I wept about this, and your eyes should not be dry either.”

The Chicago pastor reflected on the gun laws in his own city, criticizing gun control for being an ineffective policy.

He emphasized the fact that Christians were murdered in cold blood for their faith, saluting the second person who remained standing to answer the gunman, ‘Yes, I am a Christian.’, knowing full well they would die for their unwavering faith.

Angry about the media coverage, he said, “what grieves me most of all in all of this is our awareness that if he had targeted Muslims or minorities we would not cease to hear about it in the news.”

The passionate speech ended with applause from the audience.
