And this is SO problematic, because that “brand recognition” you talk about leads to research money. Breast cancer is so well known and well funded, while other cancers that are far more deadly don’t get the publicity or funding, because, to be blunt, they aren’t “sexy” like breast cancer. No one is running around saying “save the anus” the way they do “save the tatas!” So anal cancer (just as an example) gets much less media attention, much less funding… but it’s still cancer and still can be deadly.
