A Broader Panorama: The 2016 IA Summit in Atlanta

We’re excited to officially open registration for the 2016 Information Architecture Summit (May 4–8, 2016 in Atlanta). And we also want to announce our initial pair of keynote speakers — the incredible Lisa Welchman and Jesse James Garrett— and the lineup of pre-conference workshops (additional keynoters and main conference speakers will be announced next month)

The extraordinary quality of the proposals we received this year made our choice very difficult, and we wish we could have accepted many more submissions than the 16 you can choose from. These workshops represent a great mixture of topics and offer training paths for all types of information, design and digital professionals.

IA practitioners, content strategists, user experience designers, product managers, taxonomists, business analysts, ontologists, and more: you are invited to expand your skill set and learn from experts in the field at this year’s IA Summit.

Regardless of your experience, we’re aiming to offer something for everybody and you’ll be able to create a customized learning path through various topics, and learn skills that you can bring back to the office (not to mention your team!) and start using right away.

There’s a lot to choose from, and there are many ways to create your own learning path. Learn about building content and organizing it so that it can be retrieved successfully, the ways users consume content, the ways to search in information and find meaning, how to take into account culture expectations and the context of our world, and much more

IA is a field in constant evolution — these workshops, in any combination, will expand your knowledge, and lead you to explore depths you haven’t explored before.

The hardest part is deciding which ones to take. There is quite a lot to learn and you won’t want to miss out.
