A Simple Understanding

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” James 4:10

A simple understanding, but filled with wisdom that scatters every fear.

Believe in this Truth, that Jesus came to earth — born of a virgin, lived amongst us — knowing us better than we know our selves. Picked up His Cross, and was crucified for our sin and was resurrected on the third day.

Know that the power the raised Christ to life and sent Holy Spirit to be our counselor in every event — now lives in us at the first belief in who He says He is. We are to lean into Him, and not trust what our fleshly eyes see — but with all that we are, acknowledge Him.

And when our pockets are empty or when our pockets are full — to trust Him with all that we have. To know that what we have for possessions, fails in comparison to the treasure that has been given in His Son Jesus Christ.

Our lives are but a vapor, yet we live in a world that contemplates immortality in the work of their hands and the sweat of their brow. Know God, and know Life everlasting — that it is a gift and not worked for. Freedom that comes as a result of a Cross two-thousand years ago and God that gave His Son willingly — to reestablish the relationship of Father and Son/Daughter.

That when we fall, He is there to pick us up — to give us solid footing in places where trouble assails us. Know that He is the Victor — the Champion of His Children — the Lord of all things. He is not slow in keeping His Promises for time has no impact on His Thoughts — Can you hear the sound of rejoicing, that the Heavens produce every moment of our lives. The Kingdom awaits our call to bring it to earth — to change the atmosphere, influence the climate, establishing a culture of Worship.

It is a simple task to “humble yourselves” and then reach out to Him that will “lift you up” in time of need.

Come and see — the tomb is empty. The Bridegroom has ascended and has sent the Holy Spirit — and inhabits the praise that you give His Father, that sings of His Son’s Love — and the Power that Rests in Him.

A simple understanding.
