Ruth 4:17–22 “And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron, And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab, And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon, And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed, And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.”
God is in control of every event. He shines even when clouds hide the light and evening dusk closes the eyes of the world. To you He has given sight, a small thing in the Kingdom of God, but this leads to wisdom, and wisdom to the truth, and truth to who Christ is. We are saddled with a faith that cannot be broken, but rides astride the mightiest of horses that cannot be reigned in. God established the world and all the things contained therein. On that sixth day, He declared it to be not just good, but very good. The word used has its origin in Joy. He leads us to joy. It was bought at the Cross and He redefined our future. Every method we can devise, can not attain the craftmanship of our Lord. Our future is planned but not always reached within our life time. Hope steps in when we go off the path set before us, and leads us back, if we let Him.
God is worthy of your time and your patience. His love transcends our fleshly idea, cascading into a river that catches us unaware. Through this love, He sent His son Jesus (only begotten) to save us and whoever believes on His Name Jesus will not perish, but have everlasting life. It is a life spent in His presence, which is all around us and living inside of us. That joy mentioned above, was what allowed our Lord to endure the torture and the Cross. He sat us before Him, and even while He hung there on the Cross breathing his last, He saw us. Remember He knew us before we were born, knitting us together in our mother’s womb. The beat of His heart has been and always will be near enough to hear. The breath in our lungs filled His lungs first as He laid wrapped in a death linen surrounded by darkness of a tomb, thought forever dead. Holy Spirit cast the tomb’s stone aside and breathed on Him, raising Him to life.
Be strengthened today beloved, knowing that the hope in you is a gift and to never be deferred. Worship the King that created you, giving up your life in worship, bringing Him near as you mention His name. Declare the name Jesus over your day, before it even begins. Let Him guide you to the future honed from the holiness and blood of His Son Jesus, the lamb of God, that darling of heaven. Let Him live deep within you, casting out everything of this world. Break free of your flesh, letting no evil thought take root in your mind. Go forward, ride the faith given you lifting your hands in worship and singing of His worth, His love, and His Truth. Get it deep inside.
