He is a Consuming Fire in the Night
“Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name Jah, and rejoice before him. A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.” Psalm 68:4–5
“Come Holy Spirit.”
There is a Fire in the night — that consumes and refines. In this place where all pretense of this world is driven away, and all that is left — is your heart and soul open to God’s Presence.
We walk this world with all our plans and ideas, but it is not until every thought is silenced and God draws near, that we truly see ourselves as God sees us. We are sons and daughters of the Most High God. Our hearts know His Presence — know when He is near — that He has taken His Place in the Temple of God.
Where do you live? In the world, or in the Kingdom?
Blessings come forth from your mouth, from an overflow of your heart. You touch the earth’s lost ones with Truth, and they are never the same. Testimonies come from our hearts, saturating the atmosphere with His Holiness and Righteousness. The testimonies bring change, and transformation in those that do not know Him — but want to taste and see God.
Hearts are made receptive, acknowledging the Holy One that knocks on the door — and the ears of the heart hear the Lord before our earthly ones. We remember that moment, where we placed our hand on the door handle to open it to the Lord. He came in and sat with you; ate dinner with you; talked with you. All the while, your heart burned with Love.
Bless the Name of the Lord this day — and thank Him for what He has done and is doing. For He is the Refining Fire in the night — that consumes our flesh and changes our hearts. Trust Him — Believe Him — for what He has promised, He will complete in you.
When prophetic words come from the Lord — release them into the Bride, speak boldly of His Love and His Forgiveness. Let His Grace race with your Words — that they might find its mark, and forever change the world. Glory surrounds His Throne — and elders gather to worship the King.
It is in the night time hours — when all is quiet, we linger at His Feet, worshiping our God — His Son Jesus, and thank Holy Spirit for the Breath of Heaven, that is Wisdom and Discernment. And we are captured by His Gaze all over again. It is just one look, one gaze in our direction — and we know without a doubt that He is God and we are His Son’s Bride.
Surely, He does not delay — but comes quickly into our lives. Yes, He rides upon the Heavens by His Name — and He sees all things. He knows us — better than we know ourselves.
Approach the Fire in the night — accept His Hand, and hold on for all time — that You might ride the Heavens with Him, as He shows you the Kingdom of God. He inhabits all Praise — all Glory — all Righteousness.
It is a Fire that consumes the flesh.
