Like a Tree
“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7–8
Oh to be that tree, that cannot be uprooted — never be moved, but stand, rooted deeply within the ground — tapped into the freshest water and to see the Holy River flow steadily without hinderance. We are blessed to live in the Father’s House, to hear the wisdom He pours out daily.
Our lives are bent on His Love — showing it to a world that is groundless in love, but spends much on hate and anger. We are to be set apart, to be the difference in the world of darkness — taking His Light into every shadowed corner.
Let the children of the world gather on the shore beneath your branches; branches that have green leaves in season and out of season. When the heat of the world spreads to diverse parts, and the harvest is nonexistent — you shall still have fruit on your limbs. Allow the lost to eat of this fruit, and let the leaves wrap themselves about their sores — for the leaves will heal many in this time.
Our lives are not our own. We are committed to the Lord’s Love, pouring out — even unto death. There is no greater love than that. We should be ready to wipe away every tear that flows from hurt and discouragement — wiping away fear in the process. We are the encouragers, the edifiers that lift up a nation out of the mud that has threatened to hold those seeking freedom.
We are not limited by our own flesh, but supported by the supernatural power that is found in the Blood of the Lamb — Jesus — that was given at the Cross and can never be taken from us. We are establishers, the created Rock(s) like Peter, upon which the church (His Bride) is to be built, founded, grounded, and set apart.
Today, do not let the sun go down until you have established, restored, healed, or lifted one of His out of the darkness and into the Light — where the lost can be found and will discover the Son of God. We are Trees planted by the water; spread out your roots by the River; and be the Refuge.
They are coming.
