Trust Me

“Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.” John 21:7–10
Beloved,
Jump into the water, wade ashore to meet the Master that awaits you there. He has proven Himself Lord by asking you to cast your net into the waters that have been fished before — and you trusted the voice enough to throw it in one more time.
The waters around you have been fished before. Many times, and you have come up empty. But it was in this one last cast at the request of Jesus — to throw it in one more time. And you came up with a net that was overflowing and about to burst, but you did not lose one fish — and the net did not rip.
You may have wondered where Jesus had got the other fish, that were already on the coals — but the Lord had prepared a meal for you. He wanted to feed you, like He asked you to feed His Sheep.
He also asked, “Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.”
Overwhelmed and filled with awe, here was the Master once more showing himself to you — knowing He has more for you to do. And this time, you jumped in the water, and pushed through the waves to get to Him.
Beloved, He sits on the shore today with fish on the coals, waiting for you to come to shore with your catch. But the first request is you — come and eat and then bring your catch.
There is significance here — He is your food, your nourishment — all that you need to be sustained. But your Faith as well, needs to be fed — so He asks bring the fish.
You are amazed. It is one of those moments where you just want to be with Him.
So come now, today listen for His Voice — cast your net on the right side, bring up a harvest — have a realization “It is the Lord!” Jump into the water; push against the waves — hear His Voice say come and eat. And then, show him the catch.
Show Him the Catch. Faith Realized.
