Wearable Tech comes to Liverpool

Tracy Chong of Muse to Speak at InboundUK14

PRESS RELEASE

9 June 2014

Wearable tech’s moment in the spotlight at Inbound Marketing Conference in Liverpool

In anticipation of the UK’s largest inbound marketing conference, Inbound Marketing UK 2014 (IMUK14), return to Liverpool on Tuesday 8 July this year, the team at IMUK has created an infographic that delves in to the history of wearable tech and how far this flourishing trend has come in the last 40 years.

One of the key presentations at this year’s conference will be the first live demonstration in the UK of brand new, brainwave sensing wearable tech, the Muse headband, developed by Canadian technology innovators, Muse.

Muse is a Toronto based company that creates thought-controlled computing technology and applications that seek to bridge the gap between business, technology and art. Tracy Chong, Vice President for Marketing at Muse, is a guest speaker at the event and will have a prototype of the headband to demonstrate to conference attendees.

The Muse headband monitors brainwave activity and provides feedback to the wearer via an app on their smartphone or tablet. This feedback will then enable users to become more mindful of their stress levels and calm their minds through special training sessions based on scientifically proven exercises.

The demonstration will be accompanied by a talk from Chong, who will provide insights on the benefits that wearable tech will have on the business world and how the brainwave technology that Muse specialises in will change not only how we do business, but how we live.

Now in its second year, the conference is run in association with Liverpool-based integrated marketing agency, Ph.Creative.

CEO of Ph. Creative, Bryan Adams, had this to say about Chong’s appearance, “Tracy Chong, of Muse will definitely be one of the biggest highlights of the day and probably a big surprise to most.”

“Being able to control our phones, tablets and other devices with the power of our minds is something I thought we’d never see in my life time. It’s rare to see a real life product that out sci-fi’s X-Men but I think these guys are on their way to achieving it.”

“It will change marketing forever and the live demonstration of the Muse headband is the number one event not to be missed this year.”

In addition to Tracy Chong, a number of high-profile industry experts will be speaking at the daylong event, including keynote speaker and world number one authority on social media, Gary Vaynerchuk, agency relationship manager for Google in the North of England, Andy Barke, social media manager at Microsoft, Steven Woodgate, Asda’s head of social, Dominic Burch and Marketing Director for Adobe Marketing Cloud in Europe, John Watton.

IMUK will be taking place at The Rum Warehouse in Stanley Dock in Liverpool on Tuesday 8 July 2014. Tickets are priced at £99 + VAT. To find out more about the event and the full lineup of guest speakers, visit www.inbounduk.org.
