The IOC will cover the cost of return economy airfares, meals (with per diem), twin-share hotel accommodation and full tuition by award winning sports photographers who will act as mentors and coaches.

Mentors will include such multi-award winning sports photographers Bob Martin, Simon Bruty, Thomas Lovelock, Joel Markland and Nick Didlick and other members of the Olympic Information Services ‘OIS’ Photo Team.

Young Photographers will arrive in Buenos Aires on 30 September and depart 19 October 2018. Applicants are required to attend the entire programme.

Upon arriving in Buenos Aires, the Young Photographers will participate in intensive classroom orientation, training and guest lectures with the IOC Young Reporters from 1–5 October 2018, including a visit to the International Broadcast Centre.

For the rest of the Youth Olympic Games, starting with the Opening Ceremony on 6 October, the Young Photographers will work within the OIS Photo Team covering the Youth Olympic Games in the field with their photo mentors.
