After the disastrous Note 7, it’s gotta be good, right !
Reports are coming in from SamMobile that Samsung might be going to ditch the headphone jack on the upcoming Galaxy S8 in favor of the new USB Type-C.
This is bad news for most as this will mean while the port is able to charge and provide audio out, it can’t actually do it at the same time. Music streaming takes its toll on your battery so not being able to charge at the same time is a bit of a bummer.
However all is not lost, if the components for the jack are removed Samsung may well try to fill the space left by increasing the battery size. This would be welcomed as it apparently it’s going to feature a 2K Super AMOLED panel.
The new device is likely to be shown for the first time at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in January 2017.
Stay tuned for more.
