“Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he".-Matthew 11:11

What Jesus implied:

1. John is greater than Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Elijah, Elisha, David and all the patriarchs who, though have obtained a good testimony through faith, did not live to see and experience the messianic promised appearance of Jesus the Christ(Hebrews 11:39-40).

2. You're indeed greater than John in the Kingdom's pecking order because you came to the Kingdom through the redemptive work of Christ and have received the gift of the Holy Ghost indwelling you.
We have what all the old testament saints prayed and earnestly longed for but did not experience.

Redemption qualified us to be placed in the same class with Christ where we share the same inheritance with Him "...BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD!" -(1John 4:17).

You will not find anyone under the old covenant who has as much honour before God that you and I have all because of what Christ has done. Understanding these things will liberate us to live the kind of life we have been called to live.

Jesus once said:

"But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it."-(Matthew 13:16)

Through Christ, are you actually greater than both Abraham and John the Baptist??
