Last year I met someone who was full of Wanderlust. I think I caught it from her. I never knew it was so contagious!
Before meeting her I always had this perception that travelling was far too expensive for me to do, how could I afford it? Who could I go with? She told me that it’s not actually that expensive as there are so many great deals out there and that she also has friends in different countries which she stays with to cut accommodation costs. That got me thinking. As soon as I opened my mind up to the fact that travelling was possible, wanderlust took over me.
Towards the end of last year I travelled to Paris and Malta.

Over Christmas I received a massive scratch off world map which is now on my wall, plus a Pandora bracelet where I plan to collect charms for all the places I visit from now on.

I realised I had a friend in Kenya that I went to university with. I’m really looking forward to visiting him in the next few months and he’s going to take me on a tour of the best places in Kenya. This would not have been possible if I didn’t open my mind to wanderlust.
As well as Kenya, I am travelling to Spain and France next month and I keep on finding myself randomly researching about travelling to Cambodia as well; a meditation retreat would be the perfect escape with the hectic lifestyle I lead.
Wanderlust continues…
