Masika Was Treated Unfairly On The Breakfast Club

Masika returned to Love & Hip Hop Hollywood on Monday so it was only right for me to watch her Breakfast Club interview to see what she’s been up to. I do know that she recently became a mother to a beautiful baby girl fathered by rapper Fetty Wap.

There have been plenty of insults flying from both Malika and Fetty’s side. But what I witnessed on the Breakfast Club was a misogynistic mess. Masika didn’t seem to be moved because she knew what Charlemagne was going to do but Jesus!

Witnessing a man asking a woman how many abortions she’s had and treating her like a garbage disposal for him to dump his trashy insults made me sick and angry. Charlemagne is always inappropriate and it didn’t help that Angela Ye and Envy thought the debacle was comical. The continuity of insinuating that Masika somehow trapped Fetty Wap was very obtuse. WE only know what we see in the blogs and certainly as adults we should be smart enough to know that it is not the whole truth or even the truth at all. False equivalences were thrown about but Masika really kept her cool and I commend her for that.

The lack of respect wasn’t shocking but intriguing and maddening to watch someone try and tell their truth and be interrupted not with inquisition about facts but with insertion of hearsay. The behavior was disgusting and I have even more respect for Masika than I had before.
