Today’s Mistake: Thinking that what I am doing doesn’t matter.

Disclaimer: I am good! Sometimes when I write people think I am going through the emotion atthe moment. Most times I am not. These are just really cool ways for me to reflect on my past mistakes and how they have helped me. And the goal is that my mistakes can be your come up or your blessing.

A lot of times we think our roles are insignificant. Or, we imagine that because one person is feeding the homeless and another person is buying a brand new car that both individuals can’t inspire the masses.

Or, we think that our small tasks or small body of work can’t do anything so we quit or just don’t do anything at all.

Just so I don’t have to get into a long essay with you guys and girls…It all matters. From the window wiper to the CEO. Every single role matters. Appreciate where you are. Appreciate where you will go next. Appreciate all the opportunities that will increase due to your skillsets advancing and you growing in your craft actively. I say actively because a lot of people have been in a job for 20 years and still doing poorly at the job. Nothing has been an active approach and that is why they are stagnant. Just some thoughts.

Things that also matter:
Every FB post.
Every insta story.
Every instagram message.
Every blog post.

Sidenote: You can make those 4 things above matter by being very deliberate and intentional. Everyone doesn’t have something to say, but it doesn’t stop them for talking now does it?

Use your platform to shake up the masses in a good way. Stop tooting your nose up at social media and saying it is “too hard,” or “I don’t wanna post my meals or my life and where I am going. I am a private person.” Cool, still be private. But use what you have to make people smile, cheer, and just celebrate themselves. Compliment strangers. Buy someone’s groceries while you are in the line waiting for the teller to scan your items. When your items finish going tell the cashier to cover the person behind you as well.

Every little thing matters. The moment we forget that we become the problem. It is the small things that cause the issues. The small things being done or neglected over and over. Then they become big issues and by that time we are too busy pointing the finger and placing the blame on others. That also should stop.

Until next time homies!

Sincerely,
Alex “Nemo” Hanse
