Soundcloud is regarded as the best option for sharing. But many podcasts are not on Soundcloud, and they remain hard to share. Not having a single platform puts audio at a disadvantage.

Soundcloud is the platform I’ve considered for the last few months, since it seems to have an active audience that is looking for new content all the time.

I’m not sure I would fully want any 1 dominant platform or company to take over for podcasts, though, because it takes control out of the producers hands.

If they want to choose an advertiser and decline another, why shouldn’t they have that right? What really needs to change is that barrier to monetization.
