On Quitting: Part I

When you started crying on a Friday night, that was with relief that you didn’t have to face the stress at work the following day. You didn’t seem to pick up on that becasue you seemed to be having a ball. When you read what you said about how hard you were going at it, you can manage that for a week or two, but thats about it, you have to take it a pace you can sustain. You didn’t change it and so the stress really started to build, but largely unnoticed.

So then your soul took a hand in trying to protect you. It was that little voice telling you you should leave. Seems to me you are lucky to be able to hear it, most can’t. So eventually you left. It was the right thing to do. It was also useful, it showed you a limitation you have that apparently you were not aware of.

Incidentally, you write very well. If you can project yourself into imaginary people and situations then not only is it one means of stress relief, but it could be another string to your bow!
