VHS tapes are already starting to have the same nostalgic feel as the daguerreotypes with which they so often share table space at flea markets. This was a pleasurable read. Possums could be redone in a Beckettian vein. It has that good “futility thing” going for it. Maybe bring in David Mamet or Christopher Nolan as screenwriter. They’ll fix that thing right up.
