I think, having fought a bloody war for their revolution, the Patriots wrote a Constitution that built electoral revolution into the operating system of government. In America, you no longer have to fight a war to change your government.
In a democracy, revolutions aren’t something to be afraid of. They’re something to be embraced and cherished. That’s what makes a democracy far stronger over the long term. Bad governments will eventually be defeated at the ballot box, not by the barricades.
