That’s a key part of Sanders’ election strategy. He gets the base far more excited than Hillary would, and he’s already emphasised the importance of turnout on election day as a means to flipping Congress.

Given Hillary’s inability to excite the base, I think the Democratic Party has a better chance of doing so if Bernie’s on top of the ticket.
