Muhammad Ali: Champion of the World

I met Ali when I worked at CNN in the early 80’s. He was the most humble, generous, and caring ‘celebrity’ I’ve encountered before or since. He had a personal magnetism that was a wonder to see. His good deeds will live long after his untimely death. He was a man who CARED about the world, something that is, sadly, in short supply these days.
So take a moment out of your busy day and remember the man who transcended sport, race, and just about everything else. His nickname was ‘The Greatest’, but even that term seemed inadequate. Rest In Peace, Muhammad Ali.
