The fact that in the sad past of these United States hotel owners would dump ACID in pools if they saw blacks attempting to enjoy a swim just like their privileged white counterparts did (yeah, it happened), it’s a miracle that any black girl would want to work so hard against the current to succeed. And yet the sheer joy on her face during her conquest says more about what it means to be a REAL American than Michael Phelps laughing and joking during one of his gazillion national anthems on the winner’s podium. Where is the outrage for Phelps? Oh yeah, he’s white — never mind. SMH…
