Ignition Promotes Ryan Baker to Administrative Partner

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Ryan Baker to Administrative Partner at Ignition Partners. As Ignition’s Administrative Partner, Ryan will oversee the firm’s day-to-day operations and be responsible for managing the firm’s financial, operational and administrative activities, as well as the main point of contact for investors.

Previously, Ryan served as CFO of Ignition Partners, where he managed the day-to-day financial operations, reporting, tax, treasury, and administrative functions for Ignition Venture Partners, Ignition Growth Capital, and Qiming Venture Partners. Prior to Ignition, Ryan spent over 7 years with Vulcan, Inc., most recently as Sr. Manager, Finance Business Operations. In that role, he was responsible for the investment accounting and related fund administration for Vulcan Capital’s multi-billion dollar investment portfolio, including early-stage venture capital, public securities, larger-scale private equity, and other alternative asset classes. Prior to Vulcan, Ryan spent 4 years in the audit practice of Ernst & Young, including a one-year rotation at the firm’s national headquarters in New York City.

Ryan Baker Bio:

Ryan Baker is the Administrative Partner at Ignition. Previously Ryan served as CFO where he managed the day-to-day financial operations, reporting, tax, treasury, and administrative functions for Ignition Venture Partners, Ignition Capital, and Qiming Venture Partners.

Ryan joined Ignition in 2011 as its Controller and was promoted to CFO in 2015. Prior to Ignition, Ryan spent over 7 years with Vulcan, Inc., most recently as Sr. Manager, Finance Business Operations. In that role, he was responsible for the investment accounting and related fund administration for Vulcan Capital’s multi-billion dollar investment portfolio, including early-stage venture capital, public securities, larger-scale private equity, and other alternative asset classes. Ryan is a CPA and earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.
