I use Infusionsoft for marketing automation and emailing. Analytics feature is lacking but automation is superior to any other contesting platform. Infusionsoft = Automation. Period.

None of these can really claim to be all-in-one although some attempt to be. In my digital marketing experience I must be prepared to always keep a keen eye out on what’s out there, what’s new, what’s the latest tool/technology/trend, etc. The most importantly is how do these tool help me achieve my business goals. Often we get so wrapped in the newest shiny object, or the pursuit there of, that we neglect what is right in front of us. But then on the other hand if you don’t pursue — you snooze and you loose.

I remember in February of 2007 when I joined Twitter and told my boss at a Fortune 200 giant company about considering using it for business he blew it off as a fad that will go away. Well, it still is here 9 years later.

My main point of this comment is, and maybe it is a wishful thinking, all these awesome CRM / MA tools lack the facility to take advantage of the new and upcoming tools like Snap, Periscope, Blab, etc.

This is a great list and a good historical overview, although missing some bigger players from the past like Aprimo.
