Lion of Judah

A wayward world won’t see its woes
Once every man turns to count his foes
“As in Noah’s day, so it will be”
One from the Earth, one out of the sea
Lost to idols, false lovers professed
Not a one has heart to truly confess
What monsters dwell in wilderness there?
Fog to drape dark fields left bare
A rapture left all dusted and empty
Who grazed his grass of peace a plenty?
Final preachers declare his everlasting word
A few were saved, a few had heard
Beasts drew near the brazened bold
Mockers’ and scoffers’ tongues froze cold
A lamb arose by Galilee’s shore
A lion shall return, and he will roar
