The plan will allow for up to 300,000 new immigrants each year from 2025 to 2025.

In an interview in June, Immigration Minister Sean Fraser said he estimated the future goal of 500,000 new permanent residents. However, he did not name a specific target or year. He also said, “The existing route will increase our population by more than 1%. This course will continue. I don’t know in which year we will exceed the threshold of 500,000 per year. It will be based on the needs of the community.”

“Listen, I’m not going to put it on the clock,” he said. “I think we will succeed. We are adding more than 1% of the population through the existing route. This lesson will continue. I don’t know exactly in which year we will cross this threshold (500,000 immigrants per year). It will based on the needs of the community,” he said.

All 4 Special Public Policies governing the TR to PR immigration program are effective May 6, 2021 and end November 5, 2021, or once the admission cap for the relevant category is reached, whichever comes first. Applications submitted after November 5, 2021 will not be processed.

Know about Canada immigration levels plan

To meet the needs of canada’s growing economy, the government has announced a plan to allow in more immigrants.

In 2022, Canada has already admitted 300,000 new permanent residents, most of them from economic programs. The upcoming plan targets 241,850 economic immigrants, 105,000 family immigrants and 8,250 humanitarian immigrants in 2022. However, these targets may change with the release of the new 2023–2025 Migration Levels Plan.

While much of the immigration growth in the plan over the next three years will focus on boosting the economy, the new plan also envisages a modest increase in the number of family members entering Canada. It also forecasts a general decline in refugee numbers from a peak of 76,000 in 2023 to less than 73,000 in 2025, which Mr Fraser attributed to the government’s plan to resettle 40,000 Afghan refugees next year.

Canada plans to admit 465,000 new permanent residents in 2023, 485,000 in 2024 and 500,000 in 2025. Over the next three years (that is, by the end of 2025), the Government of Canada will accept a total of 14,50,000 new immigrants in various immigration categories.
