The latest topic doing the rounds in the market is ‘Big Data’. It’s a big thing, involving a treasure chest of information and its here to stay for good. In a world of internet, where the majority of the work we do involves the use of internet, all the information we use and input gets stacked up somewhere. These massive chunks of data, which earlier only made sense to CIOs, has now been discovered to be a source of rich information related to consumers and their preferences, something that is critical for marketers. Its virtual gold truly; but, is it going to replace market research.
