On the completion of 1 year of Inclov mobile app on Jan 21st, we released Inclov 2.0 — the new dimension in matchmaking.
This new version changes the complete look and feel of the application and you, the user, have the chance to experience this change. However, we wanted to put together certain things to help you familiarise with the app better and faster.
1. On-boarding the app
Inclov 2.0 gives you the chance to start getting matching with 3 simple steps without having to signup! All you have to do is enter you preferred gender, age and disability type to find matches which match your preferences. This also gives you a chance to see how the new interface looks. To view or connect to any profile here, you will be required to sign up — you could use Facebook(most preferred), Google or regular email signup.
Then follows the section of profile information. We have made this a non-tedious affair with the quick swipe through interface where we ask you details about yourself and your disability (if any). You then register your mobile number with an OTP and you’re ready to get matching!!
2.Discover
The discover page is where you find 5 new profiles everyday. You can view every profile with the information that they have filled in and choose to connect to them. Currently, you may not see all of the profile information like disability name, education etc. This is because we have just moved our servers and its only once users get onto the new app will they fill all of the information. It is only a matter of time before we retrieve all other information about the user.
3. Preference
We have added a new feature to the preferences. You can now choose your preferred gender, age, disability type and radius of match. The radius can be adjusted to show you different profiles in that radius. This will help you match better with people in/around your city. Please note that any change in preferences will only reflect the next day with your new set of 5 matches.
4. Interest
You can now show interest in profiles without choosing to connect with them by tapping on the ‘star’ icon below the profile image on the discover screen. This expression of interest is a new, non-intrusive way for you to let the other user know that you are keen on getting connected.
5. Chat
The new, improved chat feature allows you to chat with connected users. This experience will be similar to the other chatting applications and we are optimising this feature every week to make it more smoother.
Imp to know: The previous chats(from Inclov 1.0) will not be moved to this version because of the entire backend architecture being revamped for this version. Extreme apologies for the same. Request you to save important details from your previous chats before shifting to the new version.
6. Algorithm
We have built a propitiatory algorithm which will suggest 5 new matches post midnight every day! These will be profiles closest to your preferences of gender, disability type, disability percentage, age and location. We have built in some machine learning into this which means we will learn more and more when you use the app to connect to different profiles. The more you use, the more we learn and the better your matches are!
