Blahsom’s Editorial Guidelines
If you are looking for articles that promote growth, change, and enlightenment then Blahsom is for you!
We are all driven by inspiration! Without it, we are unmotivated to believe, become, and excel.
Blahsom is where you’ll find stories that fill your mind, body, and soul with passion, enlightenment, joy, and inspiration. All the things we appreciate!
Becoming a writer for Blahsom is easy! There are 2 ways :
- Simply send an email with a link to your Medium article to India@IndiaRochelle.com. The subject should read Blahsom Article Submission.
- If you article has been seen by a Blahsom Editor and they liked it, then you will be asked via email to join our community as a writer.
Questions to ask yourself about your story BEFORE you submit:
- Does your story empower growth or change?
- Does your story provide a message or clear answer to a problem that many can relate to?
- Does your story encourage enlightenment or is it purposeful?
The Rules:
- If all else fails, stick to the topic! Growth and enlightenment is what will be talked about the most in Blahsom. For those who are unsure of what that means, here’s are some synonyms:
Growth- development, maturation, growing, sprouting, and blooming.
Enlightenment- insight, understanding, awareness, wisdom, education, learning, knowledge, sophistication, awakening, and advancement.
Your article should be inspirational.
- Do not write like anyone else but you! We all have a unique voice. Writing like someone else is not only noticeable to avid readers, but takes away from what makes your writing so special. People want to feel your words. Nobody likes a copycat. Your article should be authentic.
- Be fearless within your story! Often we worry too much about what everyone has to say rather than being bold, brave, and confident in our own opinions. Your article should display strength and encourage others to do so.
Do Not:
- Promote brands or products. Excerpts from books are fine, but no article will be published based off your newest weight lost product, your webinar, app, or company. You are welcome to include your links at the end of your article.
- No foul language in titles. However, it’s quite alright to use asterisks to bleep them out.
I am very grateful that you are considering being part of Blahsom and look forward to reading your awesome article!
Best,
India Rochelle
