The Second Go Conference in India — GopherConIndia 2016
Updated on 9th Jan. 2016
After the resounding success of the first-ever GopherConIndia 2015 in Bengaluru, India this February, the Go Language Community in India together with the Emerging technology Trust (ETT) (a not-for-profit organization, established to organize and conduct technology conferences in India whose current portfolio includes DeccanRubyConf Pune, DevOpsDays India, GopherCon India and RubyConf India) are bringing you the second Go conference in India — GopherConIndia in Bengaluru (formerly known as Bangalore) from 18–20 Feb. 2016.
The Indian Go programming community is growing at a dramatic pace. The number of companies utilizing Go, as part of their technology stack, continues to grow steadily.
Why Bengaluru (Bangalore)?
Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India, is the ideal location for the second Indian Go conference. It has been the host to all the global software companies for many years. It boasts some of the best world-class restaurants and great nightlife to round out your conference experience. No wonder, Bengaluru is termed as the Software and Party Hub of India.
Vivanta by Taj on M.G. Road, Bengaluru.
When you buy a conference ticket — Breakfast, Lunch and two times Tea/snacks will be served to you on 19th and 20th Feb. The hotel is offering you heavily discounted rates for rooms too.
GopherConIndia is a single-track event (fully in English) that you don’t want to miss and where everyone gets the opportunity to see the same talks. 19–20 Feb. 2016 are the main days of the conference. A paid Go workshop conducted by William Kennedy is scheduled for 18th Feb. 2016. The proceeds of the Go workshop will go towards part-funding the conference.
We expect around 350 participants at the conference.
Regular Conference tickets i.e. for 19, 20 Feb. 2016 are available.
GopherConIndia 2016 is proud to work with Ardan Labs to bring to you a full day Go programming workshop on 18th Feb. 2016, a day before the actual GopherConIndia conference. The venue is at Aerospike’s office in Bengaluru.
This is a 1 day class for any level developer who has some experience with other programming languages and wants to learn Go. This class provides an intensive and idiomatic view of the language. They focus on both the specification and implementation of the language, including topics ranging from language syntax, Go’s type system, concurrency, channels and more. They believe this class is perfect for anyone who wants a jump start in learning Go or who wants a more thorough understanding of the language and its internals. They would love to have you attend this paid workshop. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
Note: The proceeds of the Go workshop will go towards part-funding the conference.
As part of GopherConIndia’s commitment to encourage students in India to excel in computing and technology, student scholarships were being offered. The applicants solved a Go problem as part of the selection process.
3 scholars have been selected.
