Design Won't Save the World

We need a design for #regenerative cultures, as Dr. Daniel Christian Wahl would say. We humans are part of the bigger reality, of nature itself…so we have to design starting from another point of view. The view of the whole with multiple stakeholders — not just people. The circular economy is a good example of a first attempt to use and not misuse materials. But it doesn’t guarantuee a social nor economical ‘just’ use.

“Regenerative” means that on all levels there’s an equity, an equivalence…Think of Kate Raworths “Doughnut Economy” or of Christian Felbers “Die Gemeinwohl-Ökonomie. Das Wirtschatsmodel der Zukunft” Or Michel Bauwens and Vasilis Kostakis “Manifest for a Commons Transition”. Some people also thinking thoroughly about systemic approaches.
