I think the problem alot of women have with the trans arguements is that we don’t see trans people as being supportive of women’s concerns about male violence. Women have worked hard to create safe spaces for women. Now it seems that those safe spaces could be taken away as legislation is happening that allows anyone who self identifies as a woman to come into those spaces. Bathrooms, shower rooms, women refuges, rape crisis centres, women’s prison cells, college accomadation sharing rooms. If you were ever raped or physically abused by a man, that is a terrifying. It seems incredible that there is little understanding about this from the trans community.
