Ratting on your fellow employees to HR was one of the major points in the NYC article. Why HR? Why not the misbehaving manger’s immediate superior? Why not have a frank discussion with the offender himself, persuading him to change? Don’t escalade every issue to corporate HR.
It’s this over-the-top rigidity that may eventually do in Amazon.
