Innovate Finance Launches East Coast Programme in New York City
7th September 2016, London — Innovate Finance, the independent membership association that represents the UK’s global FinTech community, launches its East Coast FinTech programme this week in New York.
The initiative aims to foster greater ties between the UK and US FinTech communities and to help advance the global sector by bringing together key influencers to engage on issues such as policy, regulation and investment.
The US is an important market for Innovate Finance members wishing to grow their businesses and seek investment. The East Coast programme will help them to meet and collaborate with the US FinTech community in New York and to create vital connections that can help them grow.
Earlier this year, Innovate Finance launched a new Transatlantic Policy Working Group (TPWG) along with leading US FinTech companies to foster an open, collaborative, and inclusive dialogue with respect to the FinTech policy-making environment in the UK, US, and around the world.
The TPWG will be convening in New York for its third meeting with the FCA and US policy-makers to focus on sharing FinTech best practices between UK and US regulators, and how to build a truly innovative regulatory environment in which FinTech can continue to flourish. Anna Wallace, FCA Project Innovate will be speaking in this month’s TPWG roundtable discussion.
The East Coast programme will be launched with an official reception at the Museum of American Finance in New York City on Wednesday 7th September. Maria Gotsch, President and CEO of Partnership Fund for New York City will deliver a keynote.
