It seems like we’ve all heard the old “8 glasses of water per day rule” for decades now, but how much sense does this actually make? How can a 6’8” professional basketball player and a 5’3” child in middle school need the same amount of water? Obviously, that’s not what’s intended by the statement, but it can be (and is) interpreted that way by some people. I even heard it in middle school myself: “You need to be drinking 8 glasses of water per day.” A complete blanket statement that can’t possibly apply to everyone probably shouldn’t be stated as…
