Being Good.
I often ask myself a question.
‘Is being good the same as not being bad?’
As incredibly reductive as this statement is, it highlights a key question. Is my moral compass set to ensure that I do no harm, that I hurt as few as possible? To live a life within the boundaries of society where I make no sound and cause no ill will?
Or is there a proactive part of me that wants to step beyond doing the bare minimum, to look at the white spaces in our world and fill them with positivity? To make a noise, not for myself, but for a purpose greater than myself?
The avoidance of doing something wrong is not the same as getting out there and making something right.
