Autogeneration of “Human Values” is what Human Beings do, but it doesn’t result in alignment. We are still reliant on Complex Systems — Religion, Law, Education — Force and Enforced Consequences to [attempt to] impose conformity and compliance for what are supposedly “Shared Values!”
You allude to part of the problem by highlighting our inability to reach consensus on Foundational Concepts. But part if the reason for that is because each person Individually Constructs their own version of the Concept predicated upon their Perception, Understanding, Experience, Capacity etc. So the Construction of the Concept and consequently the Meaning that follows thereafter is inherently Subjective. As is somewhat reflected in our inability to reach consensus.
And since we are dealing with Objects of the Mind, this limits our ability to compare Individual Construction and how a person is Mentally handling the Concept, making differences across Minds, especially the more subtle ones difficult to Perceive and Compare.
Isn’t this going to be the same problem? They would generate their own Values but they would be reflective of their Understanding and Application of the underlying Concepts.
