Social Impact Investment: 100% hit rate in Water

— — —

We all like to believe we’re making a difference. Sometimes it’s measurable and sometimes it’s not. Internationally a lot of money goes into foreign development through NGO’s to make a difference in peoples’ lives. We’re aware of well intentioned projects that aren’t successful; through mismanagement and poor execution. I’m happy to introduce everyone to WellAware, and organization that’s both good and smart. They’ve transformed the landscape from a 60% failure rate on wells, measured a year after a well is drilled to a 100% success rate.

Sarah Evans the founder and Executive Director at WellAware used to be a corporate lawyer. Fast forward a few years and you’ll find her hanging in East Africa helping kids smile and serving as a catalyst to economic growth. They’re in the middle of a crowdfunding effort called ‘ShowerStrike’ to raise capital for drilling more wells. Sarah is part of our tribe at Third Drive and I’d like to invite you to listen in on an interview that we did to learn about WellAware.
