Let’s Talk About Dying
Tell us your story and help create new solutions to end of life care in Southwark and Lambeth
Everybody deserves great support for themselves and their families at the end of their lives. Sadly this doesn’t always happen.
We are looking for people who would like to share their story about end of life experiences. Maybe you are supporting or have supported someone who is dying. Maybe you are recently bereaved. Maybe you know that you are dying and you want to share thoughts about your own experience. If you have a story to tell about death, dying or loss in Southwark and Lambeth we’d like to hear from you.
Your story will help us to better understand some of the problems with current services and support and to find out what is most important to people at this time. This research is part of a project that aims to transform people’s experience of death and dying and find new and better forms of care and support.
If you agree to participate in an interview, one of our friendly and experienced researchers will arrange to spend up to a day with you. You do what you normally do — at home or out and about. We will come along and talk with you in an informal way; asking some questions about you, your experience and that of your loved ones.
What will happen with this research?
The insights we gain from the stories will help us to understand key issues and develop new ideas to improve the system of support at the end of life. We would like to share the stories we hear with stakeholders, and these can be anonymised if you wish. Anything we produce will be shown to you, and we will never share anything without your permission. Taking part will not affect any support you receive.
