Whether you engage in a hot yoga practice to become more flexible or prefer a gentle flow to chill out, there are plenty of local classes to choose from in Upstate NY. There are beginner’s classes and yoga teacher training classes, plus classes you can take to start or end your day. And let’s not forget how good it feels to awaken your chakras and/or improve your posture. Every yoga center has a slightly different take on the practice and may focus on different disciplines, so check out this list before heading out with your yoga mat.

Bodhi Holistic Spa is a mindful and inspiring environment where individuals find holistic health and wellness. The spa features eight intentional spa treatment rooms, a welcoming setting for yoga practice, a boutique curated with holistic products and workshops and classes to help you heal, relax, and find solid ground. At Rhinebeck Yoga Center the goal is to make visitors feel comfortable as soon as they walk in the door, whether they are trying yoga for the very first time or have practiced for years. A fun and nurturing space to grow a yoga practice, the center offers classes for every level of the practitioner as well as yoga teacher training at the 200 and 300-hour levels. All levels of yoga are welcome at Vitality Flow Yoga. Although beginners can and do attend any of the yoga intro lessons, some great options for beginners are Yoga Basics, Slow Flow (heated and unheated) and Alignment Flow, which focuses on proper alignment. The center also offers a Meridian Flow Yoga program for chronic pain, anxiety and autoimmune disorders, which features guided specific breath practices to bring the nervous system back in balance.

Founder Linda Winnick has created an insightful approach to yoga practice using her knowledge of yogic philosophy, anatomy and physiology, plus her extensive Ayruvedic background. Classes are offered in the fundamentals, Mixed Level Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga.
