If you are hesitant of listing your services on a platform where reviews are deal breakers for customers, then you are not convinced that your services are up to standards or consistent enough to maintain five stars for your services.

Instance’s Reputation Protocol is designed to drive competition between service providers, and thus, quality of services will inevitably be improved. Consumers on the Instance App can also be reviewed to protect service providers from individuals who tend to cancel on appointments, thus wasting time and money. If a service provider receives too many customers cancelling at the last minute, then revenue will be severely impacted. Evidently, customer decision on service providers are based off of reputation shown by reviews.

The Reputation Protocol acts as a metric for credibility and social proof. We would not knowingly dive into cold waters, instead we would happily let someone else ‘test’ the waters first. Similar to buying services and accepting customers, we’re inherently conservative creatures, therefore we would like to acknowledge that someone else has had a good experience with your services in the past before paying for it. The Reputation Protocol is an exchange of information between transacting parties. When someone leaves a detailed review of their experience, it can give other users valuable insight, insight that you may not have remotely considered. These certain unorthodox minutiae could be a “make or break” situation for consumers and service providers.

The Reputation Protocol also improves communication and customer service. Analysing the reviews people leave for you, negative and positive, helps you stay grounded with regards to public opinion. Online reviews help to give a voice to happy and unhappy customers on a public channel. Some people may not be able to withstand the heat from negative ratings, but this scenario can be alleviated as some people may be impressed at the speed of your response to negative feedback or the extent at which you are willing to compensate. Reviews provide insight on what your average customer thinks about the services you provide rather than a perspective of your own, which builds a universal bridge of communication between service provers and consumers.
