The Poet (Sidama)

By Poetess Mrs Campbell

Poets reach into the depths
of both their heart and soul
The pen is their voice.

Truth

Thought

The motivation
of a caring person
using their skill to bless all.

Morning dew that falls on you
falls for you, my sweet hearts!
Blooming in yellow,

butterflies and bees
hover on you, sweet hearts!
Spread joy and scent, my flowers!

That’s the time ( Poetic form : Sidama Poem)

By P K ROY

Neither regret for past acts
nor boast on past doing
Don’t think of future;
be
now
in
this instant; that’s the
time one has to perform;
Don’t waste time with past / future.

Learned Skill (Sidama Poem)

By Dolly

Love to play the piano
learned music lessons
play well in classes

long
wrong
strong

ashamed by mistakes
tried to play short music
helped to improve my own skill

By My Side

By Shelley

In God I have put my trust,
He hears me when I pray
knowing all my needs —
love,
hope,
peace
guiding me thru life
whether good times or bad
He’s there walking by my side.
