Euro Summer Travel Destinations

We’re dreaming of luxurious travel this summer.
Here are the top 5 European destinations we’ve been fantasizing about.

Rotterdam, Netherlands
Rotterdam is an inspiring city filled with futuristic architecture, thriving nightlife, and multi-cultural dynamics. It’s the second-largest centre in the Netherlands, and is continually striving for innovation. The most desirable sights to see are the Museum Bojimans van Beuningen, Kinderdijk, Oude Haven and Witte de With, Centre for Contemporary Art.

Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, France
If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway, then look no further than the traditional small town of Limousin, France. There’s a beautiful town square to explore with local markets, Abbey churches and musicians playing along the riverside every night. The nearby Chateau d’Estresse, which is now a historical monument, dates back to the 14th century, and is well worth the visit.

Dublin, Ireland
Dublin’s humble cobbled streets and plethora of Irish pubs make you feel both quaint and intimate. With it’s history dating back to the 9th century, the city is full of museums, churches and castles. Dublin is filled with rolling hills and oceanscapes, but it’s prize trait is personality. No matter where you go, you’ll find characters of all sorts — along with architectural treasures along the way. If you’re travelling the Irish way, make sure to visit the National Museum of Ireland, the Guinness Storehouse, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and ANY traditional pub.

Northern Dalmatia, Croatia
Believe it or not, Northern Dalmatia has some of the most picturesque-paradise landscapes in Europe. With an amazing climate, beautiful islands, jewel-tone waters and delicious Mediterranean cuisine, it’s hard not to get lost in the cultural cocktail of Croatia. A few of the main sights to see are the St. James Cathedral, Knin Fortress, Telascica Nature Park and the Roman Forum.

Transylvania, Romania
Apart from the centuries old superstition of Dracula and vampires, this medieval city truly is one of the last of it’s kind left in Europe. With lush pastures, wildflower meadows, castles and fortified churches, it has a naturalistic appeal for many. However, make sure you bring a Hungarian phrasebook so you can understand the local tongue. There’s a number of resort towns in the region with thermal springs to enjoy, as well as forests crawling with bears and wolves. While you’re there, make sure to try some of the Hungarian liquor, palincă, which is a fiery brandy made from local plums.
