What is Love?

As I wonder what Love is to me, I immediately think of you and what we share.

I Love the way you smile each day, and laugh so purely without a care.

You’re the best partner I could ever hope for. Oh, how lucky I am to wake up each morning with you by my side.

Even though we argue about who is more right, as we fight with our might to bolster our own pride.

We somehow can remember what is true in our hearts, and recognise our Love eternally shared.

For we are all really just children deep inside, wanting to be seen, heard, and no longer scared.

Love feels like a golden sunrise, warming us up from inside our core.

It is luscious, rich, and smooth like velvet, always leaving us wanting more.

Love is what keeps all nature in harmony, and the Universe in continuous motion.

It is the moonlight in the blackest of nights, it shines light on our darkest emotion.

Love is like a harness on the rollercoaster of our life’s expedition.

It keeps us safe and protected through the ups and downs, so we can remain faithful to our mission.

Love is an invisible force to be reckoned with, that cannot be seen with our very own eyesight.

Yet its presence can be witnessed through the kind acts of others, for Love is the unyielding flame burning ever so bright.

There are many human forms of Love first experienced when we enter this world with our mother’s initial embrace.

The mutual bond with a child new to the world, and a grandparent getting closer to departing, reveals Love’s endearing grace.

Siblings may often compete and frequently disagree with one another.

Though further within their Love forms a special connection, unrivalled by any other.

The Love from our good friends provides the necessary backbone in our lives to keep us going.

The kind smile briefly shared between strangers in passing, is the reminder of our heart’s knowing.

The union between Soulmates is our remembrance that our deepest essence is Love.

It is the dance between our Souls, and battle of our Egos, trying to find a way to live in harmony and rise above.

Undeniably it is Love that we fear the most in life, for it is limitless and endless, there is no other power in existence that is greater.

It will reveal the truth of our darkest secrets, our biggest deceptions, and false identities we constructed at the time, to try and keep us safer.

The Love from another mirroring our wounds and trauma will have us running, fighting back, and resisting the inevitable revelation.

For this Love will bring our vulnerability and humility to the forefront, reminding us of our innocence, and open us up to a new destination.

Love is unconditionally patient, abiding by our side, until we are ready to be led back home to our authenticity.

So we can walk this Earth as we truly are, sharing our greatest gifts in Love, and experiencing a life in synchronicity.

Love is our path to redemption. It is our salvation. It is the forgotten ingredient that binds us all together.

For Love is the breaking dawn at our darkest hour, the miracle we have been longing for, and the greatest mystery in life that carries on forever and ever.
