Any assistive tool can be either a helpful or a crutch. It will of course depend on the user of that tool. It turns out though, that you’ll find plenty of folks who have leveraged the information resources of the world to convince themselves that the world is flat. In short, technology isn’t going to help the naturally stupid. It’ll only enhance their stupidity by creating filter bubbles and alternative facts that confirm their ridiculous beliefs.
