Coinbase top 10 pick assets

There are thousands of coins in the cryptocurrency market from where to pick from, a lot of them are great projects, a lot of them are not, and some are okay, it can be hard and confusing to pick the ones that will succeed in the future. Coinbase has made a list of coins that you should consider. It is also one of the biggest exchanges by market cap and has proved itself to be good, efficient and reliable exchange to invest in

According to them, “these assets represent some of the fastest growing areas in cryptocurrency market right now such as smart contract, nft and defi. Assets in this list have tended to outperform the market over a long period of time. Information is provided for educational purpose only and is not a recommendation to buy or sell a particular digital asset”. This market goes throw several market declines, corrections and bear markets and still has shown its value and it has outperform other markets

Recently, i wrote an article about which cryptocurrencies has most watchlist on CoinMarketCap, and surprisingly the top 5 are on are that list

If you are new to coinbase, i suggest you to open one. Here is my link to get $10 in bitcoin: here

Here is the list by market cap:

1. Ethereum (ETH)

Ethereum is the second-biggest cryptocurrency by market cap after Bitcoin. It is also a decentralized computing platform that can run a wide variety of applications — including the entire universe of DeFi.

Everything from financial tools and games to complex databases are already running on the Ethereum blockchain. And its future potential is only limited by developers’ imaginations. As the nonprofit Ethereum Foundation puts it: “Ethereum can be used to codify, decentralize, secure and trade just about anything.”

2. Solana (SOL)

Solana is one of a number of newer cryptocurrencies designed to compete with Ethereum. Like Ethereum, Solana is both a cryptocurrency and a flexible platform for running crypto apps — everything from NFT projects like Degenerate Apes to the Serum decentralized exchange (or DEX). However, it can process transactions much faster than Ethereum — around 50,000 transactions per second.

SOL is used to pay transaction fees and for staking. It also serves as a “governance token,” meaning that holders also are able to vote on future upgrades and governance proposals that are submitted by the Solana community.

3. Avalanche (AVAX)

Avalanche describes itself as an “open, programmable smart contracts platform for decentralized applications.” What does that mean? Like many other decentralized protocols, Avalanche has its own token called AVAX, which is used to pay transaction fees and can be staked to secure the network.

4. Polygon (MATIC)

Polygon (MATIC) is an Ethereum token that powers the Polygon Network, a scaling solution for Ethereum. Polygon aims to provide faster and cheaper transactions on Ethereum using Layer 2 sidechains, which are blockchains that run alongside the Ethereum main chain. Users can deposit Ethereum tokens to a Polygon smart contract, interact with them within Polygon, and then later withdraw them back to the Ethereum main chain. The MATIC token is used to pay transaction fees and participate in proof-of-stake consensus.

5. Cosmos (ATOM)

Cosmos aims to be the “internet of blockchains” by allowing developers to build their own blockchains, each of which are interconnected via the Cosmos network. ATOM is the native cryptocurrency, used for staking and securing the “Global Hub,” which connects all of these blockchains.

6. Decentraland (MANA) (Metaverse)

Decentraland (MANA) is an Ethereum token that powers the Decentraland virtual reality platform. MANA can be used to pay for virtual plots of land in Decentraland as well as in-world goods and services.

7. Axie infinity (AXS) (Metaverse)

AXS is an Ethereum token that powers Axie Infinity, a blockchain-based game where players can battle, collect, and build a digital kingdom for their pets. AXS holders can claim rewards for staking their tokens, playing the game, and participating in key governance votes.

8. Loopring (LRC)

Loopring is an Ethereum token that describes itself as “an open-sourced, audited, and non-custodial exchange protocol.” It aims to allow anyone to build non-custodial, order book-based exchanges on Ethereum by leveraging zero-knowledge proofs.

9. Gala (GALA)

GALA is an Ethereum token that powers Gala Games, a platform for blockchain gaming. GALA is used as the medium of exchange between Gala Games participants. For example, it can be used to pay for in-game items.

10. Spell token (SPELL)

SPELL is an Ethereum token that governs, a platform that lets users deposit collateral in the form of interest-bearing crypto assets (such as yvYFI, yvUSDT, yvUSDC, xSUSHI) in order to mint MIM, a stablecoin that attempts to maintain a value of US$1.00. SPELL can be staked to earn sSPELL, which grants governance rights and other rewards.
